Kids between 9 and 17 years of age may become Sea-Legs Cadets with parent or guardian permission. Each Cadet needs a Sea-Legs Mentor, willing to provide transportation to and from the boat and take weekly sailing trips. A mentor may be a parent, adult sibling, or other qualified adult. In some cases, we can find mentors for Cadets.

Cadets and Mentors must be ready to sail once every week during July and August. Trips take about 2 hours and are scheduled during weekdays. Each Cadet will have regular time slot through the end of August. If no slot is available, the Cadet applicant will join our Waiting List until a slot opens up. Cadet families are asked to donate about $10 per week. Scholarships are available.
